Canada’s appearance in soccer’s gold-medal match won’t be the only first for the team when it takes to the pitch Friday morning in Japan. Quinn, the team’s 25-year-old midfielder from Toronto, will also become the first openly transgender and non-binary athlete to win an Olympic medal.
