On invitation from Chief Gary Quisses, Ontario’s ombudsman visited Neskantage First Nation and identified many issues beyond the boil-water advisory that the community has been under for three decades. “It’s shocking to me that in Canada in 2025, people are living under those conditions,” says Paul Dubé, who also called on the province and Ottawa to take action.
