‘Moderate livelihood’ fishermen must operate during commercial season, DFO says

Ottawa will not license an Indigenous fishery in Nova Scotia unless it operates within the commercial season, the Department of Fisheries and Oceans said Wednesday, siding against Mi’kmaw bands in their ongoing dispute with commercial fishermen.
