From April 5 to 16, 2021, more than 10,000 youths from over 140 countries will take part in the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN) first-ever virtual One Nature, One Future Global Youth Summit, including 400 Canadian youth.

Terry Sheehan, Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced a FedNor investment of $773,558 in support of three community economic development initiatives in the Kenora region. Provided through FedNor’s Community Investment Initiative for Northern Ontario (CIINO), the funding will help create jobs, support recovery efforts and maximize economic development and growth opportunities in Northwestern Ontario.
Today, the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Health, announced the signature of a bilateral agreement with Saskatchewan to expand virtual health care services for its residents. Under the agreement, the province will invest federal funding based on agreed-upon pan-Canadian priorities for accelerating virtual health care services during the pandemic.
