Sask. RCMP pilot embeds psychiatric nurses in 911 centre to handle mental health calls

The RCMP in Saskatchewan is putting psychiatric nurses in its emergency call centre as part of a one-year pilot project to better help people in mental distress, as well as the frontline officers who don’t have the mental health expertise to deal with them.
