GM Oshawa supplier to lay off nearly 250 workers this month as shift cut looms

An auto part supplier is laying off nearly 250 workers at General Motors’ Oshawa plant, CBC News has learned. The move is happening as GM is set to cut a third shift at the plant, announced amid U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs that are threatening Canada’s auto sector.
