Irish PM issues state apology following report about ‘traumatic’ mother and baby homes

Ireland’s Prime Minister Micheál Martin has offered a state apology to the survivors of mother and baby homes, where unwed women were forcefully separated from their children. We discussed the trauma of these institutions with survivor Anne Harris and Colm O’Gorman, executive director of Amnesty International in Ireland.
