A moment of silence was followed by the sound of bagpipes ringing out in lament as officials from Canada, the U.S. and other countries gathered at the U.S. embassy in Ottawa Saturday morning for a sombre ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
